Oniria
"Oniria" is the debut album by Physalia, a young singer-songwriter and pianist born in 1998 from Friuli Venezia Giulia, Italy. The album is a deep dive into the subconscious that guides the listener through a world made of dreams to decipher and relive through sound.
Her music is built on a minimal instrumental setup: an old upright piano, prepared percussion, objects, synthesizers and a strong cinematic approach to sound. With delicate yet powerful intensity, Physalia’s voice narrates vivid and enigmatic dreams, the kind that linger even after waking, like a musical directed by David Lynch, blending songwriting, chamber pop, contemporary music and experimentation, with echoes of Fiona Apple and PJ Harvey’s White Chalk.
"The images in my dreams have a vibrant power that imprints itself in my memory with striking clarity. These visions are the places I feel I come from, my inner landscapes, the ones where I lay my roots." (Physalia)
"Oniria" is the result of the collaboration with producer Manuel Volpe and percussionist/sound artist Nicholas Remondino (both previously featured on Hrudja by Massimo Silverio).

Biography
Physalia (pronounced “fidzàlia”) is Arianna Pegoraro, a singer and pianist from Friuli, born in 1998. Raised in a family of classical musicians and surrounded by a rich musical environment, she began studying piano at the age of six. A pivotal moment in her artistic journey was her studies in music therapy, with a specialization in vocal techniques, which led her to discover a free and introspective approach to music, centered on deep listening.
Her compositions originate from spontaneous improvisations, which over time have taken on a more defined and concrete shape.
Her deep passion for auteur and avant-garde cinema has greatly influenced her sonic research, making the visual aspect the true creative engine behind her music.
Physalia is the name of a composite marine organism, a type of polyp resembling a jellyfish, with venomous tentacles that can reach up to 50 meters in length.
"The name Physalia comes from a dream I had as a child, where I was stung by a jellyfish-like creature. When I woke up, I felt there was a deep meaning that eluded me, so I decided to start searching for it through music." (Physalia)
